Welcome to Blum Tool Co.

The company was started in 2007 as an outgrowth of my furniture and cabinet business called Blum’s Furniture Shop. I’ve been a full-time cabinetmaker for 37 years and a dedicated hobbyist before that. My passion has always been tools, especially planes. Blum Tool Co. was started because of my experiences using and collecting antique tools, and my work experiences using tools and thinking of ways to improve them. Blum Tool Company is dedicated to producing tools that make woodworking easier and more enjoyable for both amateurs and professionals alike and quality and innovation are the driving forces behind every tool we design and build.

Blum Tool Co. manufactures a growing range of high quality, handmade woodworking tools. All are produced in our shop in Walnut, Iowa. Quality and innovation are the driving forces behind every tool we design and build. Our tools reflect the great traditions of the past, but incorporate many unique ideas for increased performance, ease of use, and ease of sharpening.
